Our Class 52 birthday card celebrates the Western, one of British Rail’s best loved diesel hydraulics, the locomotives that ruled the Western Region through the sixties and into the seventies. With its unmistakable cab shape and smooth body lines, the Western has a real presence on this design. It is a bold, characterful card for anyone who remembers that distinctive sound.
A great fit for diesel fans, railway historians, trainspotters, model railway builders and heritage line volunteers. It suits anyone who grew up near the lines of the old Western Region, and the design comes in versions for lots of different people. This version is for son-in-law.
